Online Video not Working in XP
Had a client with a Toshiba Laptop. Complained of online video not working. I tested by attempting to watch an on demand movie at netflix.com. I got an error about the video driver. I went to Toshibas website and downloaded the most recent driver (2006) and installed it. Still no video…
Then I came across this website . Now this guy was annoyed. But I changed the setting and voila we have video. So while not optimal it works now.

Basically go to WMP and Tools – Options – Performace and slide the slider to the left.
