Tmobile BIS login lost in space

Monday, July 27th, 2009
ok so the asshats at tmobile decided to rework their website. In the process they lost the link to BIS so you can reset OWA sync. After 30minutes trying different browsers and searching around I gave up and called support. The very nice lady (once I got to BIS support) said oh yea. Sorry about that. It’s hard to find. BUT theres an easy way to find it. You have a big picture of your phone once you log into the account. Click the little Not My Phone link. Reselect your phone (or any BB) Then magically you now have another link beside the picture of your phone. To blackberry services. She told me she hoped the tech guys would fix it soon.

How to set up an Out of Office (OOF) auto-reply message on WM 6.1

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008
Applies to Windows Mobile 6.1 non-touch screen phones. Overview If you use a Windows Mobile 6.1 phone, you can use Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile to send an automatic Out of Office (OOF) message to some or all of the people who send you e-mail messages. This is especially useful when you will not be able to answer e-mail for an extended period of time. Here’s how to do it: * Open Outlook on your Windows Mobile phone. * Click Menu, click Tools, and then click Out of Office. * Customize your settings, and select Done.

Outlook RPC password wont stick

Friday, November 14th, 2008
Try this trick:
Password not saving.

It has to do with your global catalog server not being reachable through the proxy.

If “Remember my password” doesn’t work and you keep getting prompted: a) close outlook b) go to Start… Run and type ‘control userpasswords2′ (without the quotes) and press OK c) click on the Advanced tab and press ‘Manage Passwords’
d) find the entry for your mail server and click ‘Properties’
e) erase the Server name and type in ‘S1’ or whatever the simple name of your global catalog server is (without the quotes)
f) leave the password blank and click OK
g) start Outlook, enter your password and check off ‘Remember my password’ one last time. It should not prompt again.
